These Fire Plugs are infused with our proprietary wax solution that leaves a protective coating that extends beyond the surface through the entire cotton core. Each plug is very easy to fluff into an effective fire starting tinder that works in all seasons and all weather. Average burn times reported of up to 5 minutes for a single Fire Plug give you plenty of time to fuel your burning tinder. The commonly available cotton tabs fire starters on the market can get the job done if they don’t get too wet, the PROCAMPTEK Fire Plugs are like these cotton tabs on steroids.
We offer bulk packages so you will have plenty to add to all your various fire kits and emergency preparations with enough left over to resupply. One single Fire Plug can potentially make multiple fires if cut in half or thirds and used sparingly.

The Fire Plugs are super easy to use. Simply twist the plug back and forth a couple of times in your fingers and then fluff out the cotton fibers. Using a lighter, ferro rod, or any other sparking apparatus take aim at the pile of fluff and ignite. Done. Have your prepared kindling ready to add over top of your burning Fire Plug and continue to build up your fire. You may be surprised how much fluff you can get out of a single Fire Plug. You can even cut them in half or thirds and still easily build up a fire. How sparing you use each plug is up to you! Our bulk packages provide you with plenty of extra Fire Plugs for many more fires.
